About the Director(s)
Yael Bridge is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She produced "Left on Purpose", winner of the Audience Award at DOC NYC. Most recently she produced "Saving Capitalism" starring former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, which was nominated for an Emmy Award in Business and Economics. As Director of Productions at Inequality Media, Yael has made numerous viral videos that tackled complex political issues and gained over 100 million views on social media in 2016 alone. She is currently working on a film about the resurgence of socialism in America. She holds an MFA in Documentary Film and Video from Stanford University and an MA in Media Studies from the New School. Yoni Golijov (prod.) produces non-fiction films and installations. Most recently, he produced Laura Poitras's feature, "All the Beauty and the Bloodshed", winner of the 2022 Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. The film documents legendary artist and activist Nan Goldin and her fight against the Sackler family. Golijov is a Sundance Producer Fellow, an IDA Enterprise Documentary Fund Grantee, and an NBC Original Voices Fellow. Golijov recently produced Poitras’s first European gallery exhibition, "Circles" (2021 | n.b.k. Gallery, Berlin). Previous producing credits include Poitras’s collaborations with "Forensic Architecture: Terror Contagion" (2021 | Cannes) about the spyware Pegasus, and "Triple-Chaser" (2019 | Whitney Biennial), documenting the use of tear gas produced by a Whitney board member’s company; Poitras’s feature film "Risk" (2016 | Cannes) about WikiLeaks; and her short film "Project X" (2017 | Sundance) about a windowless building in downtown Manhattan, AT&T and the NSA. Previously he was a consulting producer at Field of Vision where he consulted across shorts, series and features including the Academy Award-nominated "In the Absence" (dir. Yi Seung-Jun, prod. Gary Byung-Seok Kam), and coordinated the Field of Vision Fellows retreat."
